I loved Heartbeats a lot more after I saw it live. Don’t get me wrong I loved it on the record before, but I think it was my favorite of the new songs live.
The whole song could be static but as long as the first 20 seconds of heartbeats is there it’s a 10. Turns out the rest of the song is flawless too.
Heartbeats was my least favorite the first couple times and then it hit me all of a sudden. It's still near the bottom but yeah, it's a 9 on an album of 10s haha. Five Cups is the only one that isn't in heavy rotation

Took a break from this for a while, and it made me love Grand Paradise through Heartbeats even more and I like Trapped in Dillard's through Crown Candy even less. Closes with two jams though. 9 out of 12 isn't too bad.
Honestly I feel like it is the epitome of the “apocalyptic” sound. The bongos in the beginning, the weird guitar chords, the bridge, it’s perfect to me, and a great change of pace to set up the finale
I feel like I could literally gush about every song on this record, which is what makes it so damn special.
Crown Candy is dope as hell. Also probably the 2nd weakest track on the record. Every track is dope as hell
