Welp Gameshark is weird as hell in all the best ways. This is such a huge shift for them too. The other two singles are different for them but this takes the cake so far. It reminds me of Smidley with its aggression but with way more time and thought put into it, on top of the plethora of sounds layered throughout it. The falsetto vocals throughout are fantastic too.
This is the same feeling I had about 451, I've never listened to a Muse song before but I'm pretty sure this is how it sounds.
its been in my head all day at work.. i have no idea what hes saying but I can hear the little falsettos floating around in my head
As someone who on paper should love foxing, but never fully connected, I think I’m really going to like this album! Also just thought about gamesharks for the first time in like 18 years. That concept seems so dated now. Lol
GAMESHARK Gainer from the balcony Swan dive into the concrete They served you venison and morphine Nobel'd you for your good deeds It's in the 12 steps Against a death threat It's like a seatbelt Against a hurricane You're in the first class Against a tailspin With the dizygotic twin of god in the cockpit You try to turn it off But you're too turned on by it You try to wake up So you're a lost lamb dying on the range in the heat Soft guts waving on the vulture, come and get the meat They served you television in a tyranny Teen Choice'd you for your good grief Is it the slow stalk From the philistine Or in the wolf cub Against instinct Or in the Red Cross Against the hidebound With the dizygotic twin of god in the slaughterhouse You try to turn it off But you're too turned on by it You try to wake up But then you're over it (You're over it) Stumbled drunk out on the balcony Saw the moonlight in the concrere The band played 'Nearer My God to Thee' Death was begging for your company Was it the brown bag Around the Popov Or in the six men carrying the casket Beak of a dead dove Broken and stomped on While the dizygotic twin of god owns the flowershop
Obviously I don’t have the album, but it feels like they made really good choices for singles. Give an idea of the album but don’t give away too much
The way I described it to my friend was "slapstick feels like a dealer follow up, nearer my god is quite different for them and it's really good, gameshark is fucking off the rails"
