I try to tell myself that I’m more absurdist these days than nihilist, but I lie to myself a lot to cope with *gestures vaguely at everything* this.
There's dozens of us! This album is pretty good. Hell 99 is one of my fav Foxing songs, Dead Cat the worst, quite literally grating vocals. I'd rank this one below DDTM and NMG.
I like Dead Cat for what it is: a creepy, unhinged interlude. If it was longer, I wouldn’t like it or if Foxing leaned more in that sound
imo the s/t adds "Hell 99", "Looks Like Nothing," "Gratitude," "Kentucky McDonalds" and "Barking" comfortably to the Foxing s-tier. DDTM only adds the title track and "Beacons" - too much of it feels to me like they're straining for a sound they actually ended up locating/nailing on the s/t.
I love this band so much. They for real could do a greatest hits at this point. I love all their stuff but they have 2-3 songs each album that are next level. If I believed in love is a top 5 foxing song for me.
twiap always gets me in the mood for these guys too so spinning this for the first time in like half a year, and while i still find it a pretty mixed bag i totally forgot how ham kentucky mcdonalds goes lmao IIIIIII LAAAAAAAYYYYYYYYYYYY ON A WHIIIIIIIITE HOT BEEEEENCH
Cold Blooded is so incredible, how do I never see it in their setlists?! It might be my favourite song of their's. Poor Mahlon Layne
Wish they were more appreciated by the masses but thankful I got to see them play a bunch of times. Wish the last one had been a headliner but beggars can't be choosers!
thankful that they are one of the handful of bands that seemingly always made stops in florida each tour so i’ve had the chance to see them so much
Ughhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh. Gutted. But at least they went out, at least for now, on an incredible record. I’ve also seen them three or four times which is more than I’ve seen any other band, so at least I won’t live with any regret.
