Itssssss a Dealer kinda night. Cold November. It’s been a while since I’ve listened to it in full and it’s hitting.
if they felt like doing another "quieter versions" EP for a couple songs on the s/t, I would be very into it
Losing my mind over dumb shit people have been saying in the office and this album is currently saving me from completely losing it.
thanks to running, "Hell 99", "Looks Like Nothing" and "Gratitude" were very possibly the songs I listened to most all year. rocket fuel.
This album has been everything for me over the last few months. I didn't listen to any of the singles before the whole album dropped. Hell 99 hit me like a ton of bricks, constant fatigue and all.
I wish I enjoyed this record like everyone here does. I’ve given this record multiple listens and it’s still the same: love Hell 99, Barking, Gratitude, and Frozen Heads but mostly hate the rest. Oh well.
never seen coheed, every time i've seen TBS i've been so drunk i didn't notice how bad they were, and foxing is the best live band in the world so yeah i'm gonna go to this.
One of the last tours that Foxing did there was some sort of amazing technology where I verified I am a human and signed up for a presale and consented for them to just automatically buy me a ticket when they went on sale and I did not have to worry about remembering the day or time they went on sale. It was great and magical. I also did not get charged any ticket fees. all to say that I would love that technology to continue because I have an appointment during the pre-sale and I'm sure getting tickets will not be that challenging but it's just nice to not have to worry about it. It used to be a rush to buy tickets but now with all the fees and how expensive they are and all the issues surrounding it, its just stressful lol
Another person on the Foxing discord shared the presale password of TFOMB for ticketmaster so I just got my ticket for the Atlanta show
The presale password foxing emailed me didn't work weirdly but thanks for the heads up about the TFOMB password because this worked!!
Listening to the new album today. It’s so dense that it’s a mood record for me but my God this album is amazing. Just saw they’re doing the Coheed TBS coheadliner. Glad they’re getting out in front of bigger audiences. These songs live would be amazing.
for me a classic case of more consistent experience (NMG) vs higher highs but slightly dodgier quality control (s/t). I do think it's their best on balance but they're both excellent. to my ears DDtM still sounds mostly like a dry run for the s/t that's not all the way "there" yet.
This is probably my favorite album since Manchester's Black Mile. As far as this general genre of music goes. I took a break from it, not because I was tired of it, but because I wanted to give it a gap so I could come back rediscover some of it.
Weirdly, I feel the opposite: I think S/T is more consistent, but I think the highs on NMG are maybe slightly higher? Or at least I think they hit harder for me. But I absolutely love both and it feels pointless for me to compare the two.
