Agreed, they sounded perfect. Also got a little letdown hearing Beacons because that usually means no Barking but then they played it and it all came together, seriously up there with the best live bands ever for me. From Indian Lakes was great too
Revisited this record again this morning in hopes that it would click for me but nope. Hell 99, Barking, Hall of Frozen Heads, and Gratitude are the only ones I thoroughly enjoy. Bummer.
Long shot but I rolled my ankle really bad and had to cut my NYC trip short and will no longer be able to attend the show tomorrow. If anyone needs tickets hit me up, I have two available.
gratitude and looks like nothing live were off the damn chain. i liked what they did with eiffel too, maybe connor's most highfalutin lyrics to date but still an iconic track. it broke up the set and kept it grounded from being too too gnarly. special shoutout to spit. gotta be seen to be believed. it needs to be a staple of their sets going forward. ct had the first sold out show of the run, proud moment. absolutely killer show and much needed.
i'll add that gratitude got the biggest reaction from the crowd, even above rory, the medic, and grand paradise. this track is clearly the one.
Had a sucky day at work last night so I blasted hell 99 on repeat on my drive home and I am pretty sure that for my mental well-being I just need them to perform a show in my city each night I have a bad day. I think that's fairly reasonable
Currently regretting never listening to From Indian Lakes despite seeing their name on here and ap for over a decade lol
If the dude in the Pig Destroyer shirt who got punched around Beacons (by some jackass showing off for his gf) lurks here and wants to press charges hmu
Also yeah I should probably listen to this huh Been avoiding this one due to what I've been able to see of the lyrics, headspace has been fucked for weeks and am just not in a good place for an album like this rn

I've been trying to like this but I couldn't get through it. Can you recommend me some bands that play in a style that's similar to the more chaotic and screamo moments of this record?
