I know no one cares, but I haven't seen the Fork cover any of the singles after Greyhound and it's not listed in their "Albums You Should Listen to Now" post. I fear there may be a snub incoming

 

Ian Cohen all over the album. He'll be submitting a review.

 

I figured he would be, but I don't know how much say he has over the score.

Yes, no chance less than 7. 7.6 or 7.8, I'd be surprised if it topped NMG's 8.0.

 

Oh for sure, I would also be shocked. I just expected their coverage to extend further than it has, probably because of his fandom lol

Could see an 8.0 no BNM or maybe a 7.9 in reference to NMG.

 

I don’t see this getting BNM, you can usually tell when an album is likely to get BNM ahead of time I feel like.

 

I'd rather literally anyone other than Cohen write about this band, I retch when I see his byline

I could see it doing marginally better than DDTM. I don’t think it’s going to get above like a 7.5, but who really cares either way.

 

this is my first time spinning Foxing. this is incredible.

 

Alright 3rd listen, 2 beers in blasting this in my kitchen cooking dinner and my least favorite songs are starting to rival my favorite songs which is always a great sign

 

This makes me really happy that someone would have an account here and only just now get into them haha

 

I remember when Dealer came out and casually liking it, i'm digging the hype, the first song reminded me of Vices by Brand New in the way it starts and leads into the heavier section. Will check out the rest.

 

i'm very selective with which chorus faves i listen to, just because there's so many (and some i just don't like). figured this was the perfect time to spin Foxing for the first time. my only other familiarity with them was that remix that The Chain Gang of 1974 did for one of their previous albums, iirc.

 

Not gonna lie.. aside from Hell 99 and Barking? Kind of hated this lol

Massive downgrade from Draw Down The Moon and for this to be their self-titled too? Bummer (for me at least) ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

 

It's a masterpiece full stop. Brought me to tears several times on the first listen which is insane. Easily most immediately engaging and impacting first listen I've had in years.

Cleaning sits with sleep in the heat as nearly unlistenably devastating.

 

It has the grandeur of something like Mew's "
And the Glass Handed Kites..... Fucking crazy ass record. I can't believe it exists actually.
