I personally think their best material is the first half of Everything Feels Better Now. Head Void has some good stuff too.
My best guess is that you'd like Absent Sounds the most, but here's a highlight from each record: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=B1bHzda5x2w https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=f-xVLYGSMlA https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jmuJRGKFXpo
that key art on Anything looks like an abstract version of To Pimp A Butterfly. Thanks, will check these out!
Man I am so fucking hyped for this album/tour. From Indian Lakes is another all time favorite for me.
I like From Indian Lakes on record but both times I’ve seen them live didn’t do anything for me unfortunately
The album is UNREAL good. I never thought they’d be able to make another album as good as NMG and they may have topped it.
I did this with some friends in 2012 and it worked (I got to do some interviews too) and for some reason when I applied to ap.net roughly 8 months after we started the blog they let me on board. If I cared enough I could probably work some magic and get a copy but I have no intentions of ever writing about music again and wouldn’t use my connections if I didn’t intend on actually producing content
I briefly worked for Eda’s site Made of Chalk and did a couple cool interviews but never got any advances! Also helped with a site that I think was called Sleeping with Headphones but also don’t recall ever being blessed with any advances haha But I did randomly find an advance copy of the first hit the lights album by doing a lot of intense googling lol
I love From Indian Lakes but I saw them probably on that same tour with Copeland (it was spring 2019) and wasn’t too into it
Yeah I saw them on that Copeland tour and everything blended together and nothing stood out in their life show for me
They’re one of my favorite bands ever and I’ve never seen them. Everything feels better now is one of my favorite albums of all time. The new one is gonna be in my top 10 of the year for sure. Able bodies and absent sounds also worth a deep listen and upon revisiting dimly lit lately I realized how crazy good it is too. Hell I even like the man with the wooden legs a ton but even if Joey doesn’t like it himself it’s worth a listen for the opener alone
