This band fucking blows me away every time I see them. I got emotional when Hotelier started playing HLNPIT because I never thought I would get to see them but god damn. There is nothing like seeing Foxing live.
i want to say it was like 10:45-10:50ish? edit: setlist.fm says it ended at 10:55 and foxing played beacons as a "second encore". we walked out as nearer my god was ending because i'm the worst and checked the setlist from the night before and thought it was over. fuck lol.
My bf gets off work at 11pm and I was gonna see if I can make the show and then pick him up after Which on a semi-related note... i have an extra ticket to the pdx date if anyone needs cause my bf has to work lol
I'm in PDX and I was super bummed because the show sold out before I could get a ticket! I would love to buy yours if it's still available!
More talking the tour up plz because I know I'll have fun but rn the idea of going to something at night and then working the next morning doesn't sound like a blast. Being an adult is so boooooring
Update: still mega boring and am comfy on my couch and the idea of being out late sounds unappealing. I already did something this morning. Doing two things on a sunday??? I'm a loser and again know I'll have a great time but my body is not energizing here. Pray 4 me as I summon energy from the concert gods
Do it! Conor gave a great speech about inspiring people to murder the opener on Friday, so he’s obviously in rare form.
I think it'd be easier for me on a work day cause I'd already be up and about and not on a sunday where I'm laying on my couch enjoying being lazy and comfy. But I will prevail!
Update no one asked for: I went and it was very good. I spent too much money today tho so RIP me Edit: also helps that it was an album show so nobody yelled "Rory!" For like an hour straight. Update again: because I was at the show I wasn't able to take my sleeping pill so it's 4:35AM and I'm eating twizzlers
Foxing is one of the few bands I can think of that I hadn't listened to before seeing live, but became a huge fan of after. They were an opener shortly after Albatros came out and they hooked me hard. Usually I can't stop looking at my watch waiting for the openers to wrap it up, especially one I haven't heard before.
Honestly the albatross isn't my favorite foxing record. I enjoy it for sure but it's not one I return to a lot. But wow it sounded stunning live. I feel like it's the best I've heard them sound live
Nearer My God is my favorite but I gained a new perspective on The Albatross after hearing it live. Was my first time seeing them and they were unbelievable.
Idk if I can pick a single one but my clear elite tier, in no order, are night channels, glass cough, Eiffel, heartbeats, Dillard’s, and won’t drown
nearer my god and lambert would round out my top 3 with weave. beacons and cold blooded would make it 5
