It feels like a 'basic' take to say Bastardizer and Cold Blooded are among their very best songs, since they're the most traditional sounding rockers in the band's catalogue. But then I remember one has bagpipes for goodness' sakes. Also both those songs absolutely kick arse. What a band.
Still need a lot more spins, but I just wanted to say the songs released early make a whole lot more sense (as in sound better) in the context of the album. Hearing Go Down Together right after 737 is just great.
Lightning defender here. This is the first Foxing album I've listened to all the way through, partly because of how accessible that song is. It's going to pop off live too. Weird comparison, but the chorus reminds me of House of Heroes.
Patreon variant (presumably. I don’t remember ordering anything else recently) came today. Haven’t gotten to open it yet tho.
Sometimes me and my bf do a music swap kinda thing and last winter I had him listen to Nearer My God and he said he didn't like Connors voice at times and found it grating and I died inside and was disappointed. But I played this album in the car and he didn't have any issues with Connor on this record and I'm taking him to the show in Feb so I'm working on his conversion as we speak
It killed me cause I find the vocalists my bf listens to to be grating a lot of the time so I just like... You're one to talk!! I've never had any issues with foxing vocals! I think he'll be impressed when he seems them live tho tbh.
Just because it’s two artists I love, this feels similar to the last 2 Tyler the creator albums to me. I prefer IGOR and NMG more, but god damn do I love these new records from them
I like Connor's voice but I can see how it might be an acquired taste, just because it's pretty wild. It reminds me of my old car with bad transmission -- it always wanted to slip into a higher gear. When he lets loose with it in a more operatic way it almost seems to rein it in somehow, and the notes seem to hold.
Yeah, I realized that after. I posted on Foxing's insta that I'd be out for 48 hours for a wedding and Conor responded 'there will be replayability with a ticket, yes.' There wasn't confirmation after that. There's no foul, I just really want to see the whole show. Yeah, I'll just wait a bit, I'm assuming they will release it in some form later based on the effort put into it. Not worried about paying to see it a second time.
