    Love all their records now. Dealer definitely hits me right in the feels whenever I even think about it. Always brings me back to winter ‘15.

    NMG might be slightly better but this is right up there

    the album hasn’t been out for a week, I refuse to concern myself with how much I like it compared to their others for at least six months

    No matter where it stacks up in their catalog, it’s the AOTY regardless

    We reach for the longest shadow

    The best thing about this album is that there isn't a song as bad as Crown Candy on here.

    heaven knows what i am

    NMG= higher peaks/moments
    DDTM= much more consistent

    Release My Mind, My Garden Grows

    Lightning really doesn't work for me. Overall this record has been far less immediate than NMG was on my early listens. Maybe its a grower. Current standouts personally are Cold Blooded, Beacons, and If I Believed In Love.

    We doing hot takes now, cause I'm ready to upset people apparently.

    I think Bialystok is waaaaay too repetitive. I find the "Homesick everywhere I go without you" line kind of bad and annoying. Truly surprised everyone here really seems to love the song. Please don't stone me lol.

    Great album though.

  12. Yeah Bialystok, Lightning and Cold Blooded are the only ones on here that aren't absolute gold for me. Everything else is so so good tho and even those three songs aren't bad

    i think i was only slightly let down by Bialystok just because of how high the praise was for it from folks who had it early lol

    Bialystok is in the bottom half of the record for me. I do really like the contrast between the verses and choruses, though.

  15. Actually, on yet another relisten of the album right now and I wanna retract this take about Cold Blooded. It's really good.

    Finally got a few good listens in and yeah I love this. I can hear the “too repetitive” complaints in places but all the songs are so good it doesn’t bother me.

    Cold Blooded is definitely repetitive but I still enjoy it.

    Cold-Blooded is also a bit repetitive but I fuck with it heavily for some reason. Bialystok and the title track are probably my least favorites because they're my least favorites refrains/choruses on the record.

  23. Haven't been able to get into anything by this band in the past but holy shit this is amazing

    the lead guitar riffs throughout this thing really elevate it. cold blooded specifically but there’s a ton that jump out.

    Cold Blooded is probably my fav non single. SWTD might be my fav overall still
