I didn't listen to any of the singles so diving in now. first track is... wild?

Just finished my first full listen - This is incredible

 

This album is stunning

Didn’t think they’d be able to exceed my expectations but here we are. All three of them are firing on all cylinders. These songs are going to sound massive live considering how massive they already sound

I love this band very much

 

Didn’t love the last album no matter how hard I tried, but this knocked me on my ass

 

I've completely avoiding like, any marketing for this other than seeing the release date and knowing the first single released. I've wondered what your avatar is for a long time and just noticed what it is now hahaha

 

I hate to admit it because I feel so left out, but I never could get into NMG. I tried and tried and it just never could click.

I am going into this without listening to any singles and first 3 songs in … hell yeah. Super excited to listen to the rest after work. Beacons is quite the song.

 

Yep this rules. Best band goin.

 

when 737 kicks in had a big grin on my face

is there anyway to see the credits for the album?

 

This is awesome, Foxing albums have usually taken me awhile to warm up to but this one is pretty immediate.

I love how NMG ends with “Lambert” and this one starts with “737,“ that’s just a nice little touch and feels like, very metaphorical

 

On my first listen. On Lightning. This is my first time listening to this song.

How in the world do people not love this song? Lol

Thoughts upon first listen:

1. Very positive first listen. I can tell it will only grow on me and I’m gonna love it.

2. I agree with the Speak With the Dead sentiment in that it is absolutely bewildering to me that they chose to lead this album cycle with that song.

3. I love how they have changed and pushed their sound with each album. I think this album staples them for me as one of my absolute favorite artists working.

 

wow I sure did expect a different album after listening to the title track twice then entering complete radio silence

good thing it rules either way

 

i only listened to the first single and this blew me away

if i believed really got me when it gets wild at the 1:27 mark

 

On Lightning, and yes the boyz did it again. Album is so good

 

Great record - really like NMG but this is pretty clearly a step up

"At Least We Found the Floor" reminds me of Told Slant. Beacons kicks ass

this album is Very Good

 

This band needs to be on every late night show and SNL.

How do we make this happen

 

Already got "Bialystok" stuck in my head

 

Bialystok is the catchiest song I've heard in a while

 

Bialystok and Beacons should forsure be on the radio

 

I still think “If I Believed in Love” is the best song here, but that’s also the song of the year imo so…high bar.
