Listened to SWTD a couple times, and IIBIL 3 times. Was able to listen to the other singles only once.
This is incredible - I can't believe they followed up NMG with something just as good. Least favorite on first listen is Where the Lightning Strikes Twice. I'm glad that was released early on because to me every other song on the album is wayyyy stronger. Favorites: Literally every track that isn't one of the two aforementioned *edited to remove speak with the dead from least favorites because it works phenomenally in context*
ian cohen's nu-metal/linkin park remarks in regard to that moment were a bit overstated, lol anyway, after my first listen of this i ended up ordering a shirt and the hat lol. i am all in.
i can't believe they wrote a national song also, cold blooded fucking rules. i'm so happy that all of you with advances didn't talk up all of these songs too much.
Don't get why people are so mid on it. That solo into the final chorus with that yell in the right channel gets my pulse racing. AAAAAAAAHHHHHH
I'm sure this was already posted, but just in case, there's some cool merch here if you don't mind also spending $10 for a ticket: Moment House
lol let this be a lesson to me: never delete your posts just because you decided you wanted to quote someone else's post
Crown Candy is the sort of weird outlier they probably would have cut from DDTM. Works very well in context but the new record has a tighter focus.
