Hmm not sure about this. Wasting Time sounds pretty sterile in comparison. EDIT: Throwing it back, but it reminds me of when Anberlin rerecorded Feel Good Drag. It's good, and sounds cleaner and more smooth than the OG, but it definitely lost some bite.
Enemy of the World sounds fantastic and is by far my favorite production on any of their records. Haven't listened yet so maybe I'll eat my words about it but it's hard to imagine.
Not him, the part sounds good though. Spotify doesn’t have any credits other than the four current members. I think the instrumentals actual sound pretty good, and the production is slightly less treble heavy which is nice, but Alan and Dan’s vocals, especially Dan, are really lacking the aggression from the previous recordings.
cool to put cavalier on here, one of my favorite FYS songs. I'm definitely assuming that their contract with the major that put out EOTW prevented them from doing a US pressing/one that they could get significant $ from, so they are going around it with the re-recording. excited to hear it, not sure if I need to own yet.
Ah I never knew that, always assumed it was Josh given he would do it live. Hence my initial question. Shit rips regardless
I also never knew that always thought it was Josh damn haha If it's not Jay then it's definitely Dan here and not Alan
Diving into my first listen! They've done an awesome job with It Must Really Suck. I'd argue it's almost better than the original. Alan and Dan's vocals sound way more melodic.
Not very interested in the re-recordings, but it makes me happy that there will be some form of Listen Do You Smell Something on streaming services. Used to listen to that one enough that it may as well have been a standard edition track
It’s been so long since I’ve listened to the original recordings that I’m enjoying this. Such a fun record.
Kinda impossible to avoid bobbing my head at work while listening to these bangers again for the first time in years.
