out of the other 2 songs i've listened to from them, absolutely. they have a 5 song EP from 2024 and an additional single from 2024 outside of this track. diving in right now

You need to check out overthinking and the garden. Come to think of it, I can actually hear a lot of FYS in the EP.
They're one of those bands where the music videos make the songs a lot better

yeah these guys rule. EP is great and The Garden feels like a nice bridge to this song from the EP. will be watching them from now on.

It’s insane that it was 15 years ago. Still feels like their mainstream buttrock attempt was 1 album cycle ago.

am i the only one brave enough to admit that there are several bangers on that album?

I'll write you into all of my songs Supporter

I don’t think anyone would disagree but as a whole the album is a big whiff, remember being on a long drive with one of my best friends trying to do a first listen of it and struggling to find things to complement hah

The lead single off that record went hard as hell. Everything else fell flat.

Theres a solid EP in there. Infected, stuck in the middle, just drive, fairweather fan, sweet kerosene, heaven wasn't built to hold me I think are good

I thought they were dead as a band after that one. It's not that it's even the worst thing I've ever heard or anything, it's just a major failure coming off Enemy of the World. Glad they bounced back

Yeah I don’t understand the hate. It’s definitely a stylistic shift but they did it so well.

I feel that same way about Burning at Both Ends. Solid albums that got criticized because the genre was evolving and bands like TWY, Fireworks, Polar Bear Club, Transit, etc were all putting out far more interesting music than what both of those albums had to offer.

Yeah I feel like it SYG leaned more into their heavier sound than the poppy sound of BABE, they probably would have had better traction instead of falling off the face of the earth.

Those last 2 SYG singles before they split were good too
