As an artist I can't really understand why so many people think the attitude shown in his response is a bad take. I hate the trend of AI being used to 'replace' artists or being used nefariously, but it truly is just a tool. It can be used in good and bad ways but using it along with other media and tools doesn't make you less of an artist.
I haven’t liked an album from this band since enemy of the world but man this is ittttt. I can’t turn it off
i got an updated download link from sendowl because the last one didn't include the closing track "How Do I Let You Go?" 3 copies, first come first serve! #sharingiscaring Order
late to the conversation but lots of you are missing several key points about the opposition to AI art
Two tracks in and I'm loving this. The ending of the opening track is so cool. I'm a sucker for those kind of breakdowns.
I recall James wore an FYS shirt in one of the DC announcement videos. He's not only a fan he buys merch!
I had Alan Day on my podcast recently, and that episode came out today for anyone who's interested. In the chat we cover making the album with minimal time + minimal complete songs, learning from the mistakes of 'In Some Way, Shape, or Form', being an artist vs being a producer, their penchant for obscure album artwork, and also briefly touch on the AI thing, amongst some other topics. It's on Spotify, Apple Podcasts, Deezer, etc too if you prefer that. Enjoy!
That video is gone but it looks like the band put it up on their channel (assuming that was the warped tour set)
Got excited because I got a Spotify notification saying they were playing a show near me. Opened Spotify and saw it was opening for All Time Low and Mayday Parade. What a horrible swing of emotions.
