Wonder what his live set is gonna be like. If he's sticking to New Energy (the artwork for the shows makes me think this) or if he's going to whip out some bangers like Pyramid and Pinnacles
Can’t stop thinking about his set Monday night. I feel like I’ve got this panoramic understanding of this album after hearing these songs stretched and manipulated beyond the confines of a 50 min album. The lights were unreal too, such a cool set up. Really felt like something special. Finally made up for bailing on his Osheaga aftershow last minute in 2014.
ahhhhh, I'm so glad it was good. was it (from what you could tell) mostly material off of New Energy? When you say stretched and manipulated, did he basically do live extended edits of album tracks? I know it probably wasn't easy to tell exactly what he was doing but...
Yeah, I would say most of what I recognized was material from New Energy. The whole set was basically live extended edits of those tracks, which was so cool. I’m not 100% sure, but I think he looped the opening of his Shura remix for like 10 min too haha.
@Joel Mostly New Energy, but also Locked and Morning Side. I'll echo how amazing the light setup was for this (Wednesday). He played for 2 hours. He might have snuck the Opal remix in...can't remember off the top of my head. He talked to fans after the show too. I would have stayed but I had to get up early for a road trip Thursday.
Oh my god, Morning... You're so lucky, I could listen to that for hours. I know people don't pay a lot of mind to Morning/Evening but it's become a huge source of calm in my life. Sounds amazing, infinitely jealous, etc
