Haven't played yet but the new map changes look pretty cool. I like the desert biome, adds some new aesthetics. It's crazy to think about how many areas there are on the map now compared to when Fortnite first launched. The old map in comparison just looks empty and boring.

 

Really digging the desert biome area and the space rifts that you can walk through. Should keep me entertained for another season.

 

Did space rift kill you? Saw lots of comments on Reddit that it takes you in the air and drops you.

 

I didn’t die, it acts sort of like the launch pad in that you get to deploy your glider in the air, but maybe you can fall straight down and die? Didn’t check to see if it automatically deployed or not.

In reality it reminded me of the Thanos jump a lot. Not sure it’ll be very strategically useful in solos since anyone who sees you jump in knows you’ll come out directly above, but could make for some fun squad play

 

I'm more impressed that they managed to shrink down the file size since I swear it was around 12-14 last patch and now it's down to 8.

 

Has anyone talked about the crazy ass Kratos skin at Tier 100? I cannot wait.

Heard a rumor that you don’t need to have 500,000 EXP this season to unlock the upgrades, it just all carries over. Not sure about this though

All the new stuff seems great (you can use the golf ball emote to play actual DAMN golf at lazy links!!! Tournaments when playground comes back lmao) but boy am I already tired of being killed by that new mohawk guy skin

 

Apparently turning aim assist off helps tremendously with the gyro controls.

 

New favorite spot to land is the Mexican-style village at the bottom of the desert, near the dinosaurs. So many chests

Correct. The skin upgrade challenges will carry over. Only tied to XP
