I just got my 3rd solo win in what must be one of the lamest wins in Fortnite history. Only had 2 kills. The guy I went up against in the final showdown was completely clueless. He was just running in the middle of the open field and when I started shooting him in the back he didn't even attempt to build or turn around and return fire.

 

I won a solo the other day without even knowing how. The player must have either died in the storm or fell or blew themselves up, because I didn’t realize I was in the bottom two until right before it said I won lol

 

I just got the reach top 2 in squads challenge while playing 50 v 50.

I'll take it.

Anyone played this new solo showdown mode yet? I'm still not really sure what it even is?

Edit: Just read up on it and it ends tomorrow anyway, so meh!

 

so far this season ive had 3 solo victory royales. im trying to get to where i can get at least 1 a week. i like being able to tell how much ive improved, my building is getting faster and im pretty comfortable with all of the weapons. the new burst rifle rips, probably my favorite of the last few new guns added.

i know this is the BR thread but theres rly no point in making a thread for the PvE mode so ill just talk about that here as well. i got a free code for StW about 3 days ago and im really enjoying it. its a grind for sure, but the gameplay is so fun and the feedback loop of crafting materials, schematics, leveling heroes/survivors/defenders/weapons/traps/etc, AND being showered in v-bucks just by doing daily missions or completing campaign levels is a great bonus for someone like me who is a skinohalic.

speaking of, the new Venturion skin is one of my favorite new additions. i think my overall favorite skin is Lady Valor but theres been a lot of great ones lately. i cant wait for the Moisty Merman to drop.

 

I've been saying I want to get STW just because it's V Bucks galore over there

 

id recommend it for sure. granted you may want to wait until its F2P, which should be happening soon-ish, but i would say its worth the investment purely for how damn fun it is. while all of the missions boil down to "defend this shit" its still really fun and theres good enemy variety and the actual storyline is pretty solid and has made me laugh quite a few times. its very Borderlands-esque if youre into that.

 

also all of the skins that are in BR are "characters" in StW so you can play as ur favorite skins in both modes

 

I've actually read they are considering cutting the amount of V Bucks earned when it goes FTP so that's why I've been kinda wanting to get it now.

 

that makes sense. if you do get it ill help ya out. basically doing daily missions and progressing through the main campaign gives you a lot of v-bucks. i think i read that you can get about 4000 v bucks within the first couple weeks of playing StW

 

pC or PS4? I'm forever gutted I didn't get it during the half off sale they did. It's easily worth it for $30

Save The World is basically gold mine for V Bucks and no one has really caught on besides the die hards.

It's nuts.

 

Accounts are linked so I play it on both PC and PS4. That’s another thing I love, all of my progress and skins carry over from both platforms

 

Save the World is too boring for me. I try to do it for the v-bucks but it's torture haha

 

They should make the apples give you a minor boost for both health and shield

 

After 112 solo matches I’ve finally won one. It feels extremely good

 

Both of my solo wins I've had so far were pathetic lmao first one in my final two was a guy who was clearly a hell of a lot better than I was building around me like nobody's business and trying to kill me with a trap - ended up killing him via a completely random grenade launcher shot. Second one I had a full on brutal shotgun fight with the 3rd place and I healed up and got ready for a really tough fight - The last guy started using bandages and stood still when I shot him. Third one was Thanos so it doesn't reeeeally count. Won about 10 times with my current squad, though. We usually go as 3 so it's pretty satisfying

 

I wish i could delete my first 100 games because they were just me learning how to even play lmfao

 

I got 2nd place yesterday in back to back games. Ugh, getting 2nd is the worst

 

I'm beyond ready to watch some competitive Fortnite.

 

In other news, Chests in Wailing Woods challenge is back this coming week. FML

 

100 million is such a crazy large amount until you remember that people estimate Epic made over 200 million from Fortnite just in the month of March.

 

When we do find out who made the top 100 in solo showdown? Curious to see how many twitch streamers placed in it
