I've only been playing solo but I pretty consistently end up in the top 10 even though I'm reallllly not good yet. i just keep to myself as best i can.

 

I usually average around 2/3 kills while making top 10. I just have trouble with decision making in top 10.

however I do tend to stay around the edges of the maps so I don't see much action.

 

I've been averaging about one kill, if that. but yeah, once i notice i'm one of the last of ten players, i freak out and make all the wrong choices, haha. i also stick around the edges.

 

Who am I kidding? I'll be playing again by 6pm.

 

This whole game is just so up-and-down/random that I've found that actually trying to focus on winning is pointless for me. Before stats were disabled I cared too much about them then buckled under the pressure, so I just started trying to enjoy the game more when they went down and then managed to double my solo wins in one day. I still make stupid mistakes which frustrate me, but mostly now I just laugh when I die (even if I get killed the second I touch the ground!).

 

building tips anyone? Everytime I try and kill someone in the final 10 they build this insane tower with windows and shit....

 

What platform are you on?

 

For people in towers, wait until someone else engages them and they get distracted, build a ramp up behind them and shotgun them in the back lol. This method comes with the 'PandaBear guarantee' - "60% of the time, it.....doesn't work".
Next tip - snipe 'em!

 

Can confirm, works against idiots like me. Had this happen last weekend, built a tower that was maybe 3 stories high, didn't put a roof over my head and I got distracted and a dude did that exact thing to me.

Got my first solo win doing it! But if I had the co-ordination to build a tower at endgame then it would def happen to me too, I literally forget to put a roof on mine every time without fail. Stealthing around and waiting for the right moment to move/attack > building for me personally.

 

i didn't even know you could build windows.

i have so much to learn.

 

I knew you could but had no idea how until this past saturday

my 8 year old nephew had to teach me via microphone

My favorite discovery was finding out I could do the triangle wall, and the nice curved arch

 

I play it at work and if my gf is playing PS2 or Fortnite on my Xbox. It is actually a pretty good version of the game! Just feels a little less natural

 

@zporter92 did you change yourself to not show online, I feel like I never see you online anymore.

 

I had a snipe yesterday where I felt so badass because it was a quick snipe.

It also sucked because the dude just stood still and died like it wasn't even cool enough to record smh.

 

Yeah I run a madden league, and was taking some time away from it to fix some stuff with my girlfriend. She likes watching me play fortnite, and I didn’t feel like listening to the madden guys trip about me having time to play that, but not madden.

I’ll be back in Orlando sometime between Sunday and Tuesday, after that I’ll be back to show online!

Yeah people will save those until the end of the game and screw people who can actually build and out-maneuvered them.

Unless they only have like <100 health

 

I’m fine with it because I love how often they change the dynamic of the game to keep things fresh. If it doesn’t work out they’ll get rid of it hopefully

 

got my first rocket launcher tonight but of course that also means i died immediately afterward because i got very trigger happy
