While I really enjoy Fortnite I can't stand the way they handle the aim assist on console. I hate how it snaps hard to the target, it's jarring and half the time screws me up instead of helping. I don't know if this is an intentional choice or not but I wish it was smoother. I know you can turn auto aim off completely but that's so hard on console.
Had my best ever solo win just now, 6 kills!!! Contained my best ever sniper kill too - running headshot at 142m!!! Playing 20 vs 20 has really helped me when it comes to engaging people, because with a whole team on my side I just dgaf and run in guns blazing. Carries over well to solo! Edit: Fuuuck, came 3rd in the next game after the one above when i really had a chance to win The storm came down to Tilted Towers, and the eventual winner literally covered half the sky in platforms he was building, never seen anything like it.
@Rob Hughes my boy Skittles was working today with me and he was telling me "man we need to have another game session with Rob because I feel like we really bonded" I laughed.
Aim assist is quite annoying but needed, tested a game out yesterday where I kept quickly scoping in and out/in and out so the aim assist would keep snapping on to whoever I was shooting at. Managed to get 4 kills before my internet gave up and basically died just as I was about to get into another gun fight, excited to try that out a bit more. Tactic definitely works better mid-long engagements.
Hmm interesting, maybe i'll have to try that out. On an unrelated note, can you kill yourself with a trap you place on a wall/ceiling? Cause I died yesterday in 6th place and the only thing I can think of is I triggered the trap I'd placed.
That's so strange, cause it said I killed myself but I was literally doing nothing at the time except creeping around inside a building and I was inside of the circle.
If I'm able to be under someone's built tower and chuck it up and just wait to destroy it. That would be amazing.
Days I work I’m on like 11 pm-2 am, other days I play while my girlfriend is at work from like 12ish pm to 5 pm, then again around like 9 or 10 pm
