When I saw people flipping out over the leaked loading screen that was exactly my first reaction lol

 

Data miners have found names for at least 7-8 new POIs but several are similar in name to existing ones - I think the event causes some huge rift in time and the new map just = the current one but fully in the past/future or a new time zone or whatever (no snow, desert or jungle/volcano section, for example).

I think a completely revamped map still kinda based around the current one is totally fine. I don't have this deep need for a fully new map honestly.

 

I hope it is an actual new map instead of just copy/pasted with new locations, which is what they do now already. More so for those of you who have stuck by them through all of their moronic decisions, and deserve something actually good for once.

This is the longest stretch of time I’ve gone without playing the game. I got back into playing Apex near the start of this season and I haven’t looked back

 

Leaks coming out that suggest the whole game will be revamped as ‘Fortnite Chapter 2’, with a whole new map

 

I feel like if something that major got leaked they would just announce it though. A map is one thing but a “new” game is a different thing entirely I feel like.

We shall see!

 

I’ve probably spoken too soon about it being a whole new map (sticking to my theory from earlier posts!) but the leak came from the Apple Italian App Store, was quite recent so perhaps they’ll comment on it soon!

I doubt they’ll ever do a whole new map because adding things bit by bit and seeing how the players react is a core part of making sure they maintain popularity. The more drastic the change the harder it is to just backpedal on it if it flops

 

Yeah I’m not sure what to even expect tomorrow, but whatever happens it seems like it’s going to be one of the biggest changes the game has seen. Excited nonetheless

 

Until we only get like 3 POIs changed and hate Epic even more

 

Yeah 7 seasons of fake “new map” theories just to have everyone yell “revert” when they finally give us one is going to be inevitable

 

Can’t wait for them just to start over with the original map and build it all back up for 10 seasons

 

LTMs with different / old school maps would be cool

 

That would rule. A fresh new map plus A permanent playlist where every week is a different version of the current map.

 

Yeah just played a game and remember why I can’t stand this game anymore. Still going to checkout the new stuff though when it happens

Yeah I’m kind of confused as to why they are loading everything in now. Like why not just release an update and have it not activate in-game until the event time, instead of making everyone wait.

I wouldn’t be surprised if there are major server issues after this

 

Wonder how much thought they actually put into this lol
