Forgive Durden is an indie rock band from Seattle, Washington, who got their name from the novel Fight Club. Anyone like this band? Wonderland and everything earlier was great. Kind of wish they didn't go with Razia Musical album and then disband, I could never get into it. I still listen to them though, they have some great songs.
Love this band, and the Casey Bates podcasts are fantastic too. Wonderland is somehow still underrated and while I couldn't really understand Razia's Shadow when I was younger, I've really come to realize just how great it is.
Wonderland is still one of my favorite records ever. Always felt like a more fleshed out version of Gatsbys to me. I think it's a scene classic.
used to love razia's, one of my old favorites, cheesy as hell now though ...probably would see a stage production version of it for the nostalgia though
always was cheesy as hell, but damn, it wouldn't even have to be a stage production for me to want to go see it live again
Both albums are great, seeing Razia live with many of the guest vocalists on stage was really something special. I talked to Thomas at a Carly Rae show when his band Cardiknox was opening for her and we talked about Forgive Durden for a while, he was a really good dude and happy to talk about the band and the scene, etc
This band randomly came up on a date and I listened to razias shadow again, which I think I like a lot more now than I remember. I never really gave it a shot in the past with it being for a play or whatever
So I just re-listened to Wonderland and it's just baffling to me that album doesn't have a bigger following. It's catchy as fuck and seems like it would've had a broader appeal. "For a Dreamer, Night's the Only Time of Day" is one of the best pop rock songs of the last fifteen years.
I like a lot of the other stuff too which isn't even on a lot of the steaming sites, I don't get it either
Can you pm them to me please? Honestly have been looking for them for years. Used to have them on my high school computer lol
