They not wrong. the beginning of that song is insanity.

 

This rules. I just can't get over the fact that all these bands that sound like Drop Dead, Gorgeous or whatever other scene metalcore are getting covered by historically "indie rock" pubs like Stereogum and the likes. It would have been unimaginable when I was listening to stuff like this in high school (and often getting clowned for it, on AP too lol).

The critical re-evaluation of the mid-late 00s Rise Records catalogue when???

Record arrived this morning. So glad I grabbed the pink variant pretty sharp on the deathwish eu store. This record is incredible!

The last show I saw before covid was Origami Angel/Short Fictions and this band. This is definitely cool.

 

this hasn't really grabbed me much. feels like this whole wave of metalcore throwback bands just isn't for me. sucks because all of them started out really interesting too
