I don't really know much about this band, but I never get why people are happy when a band breaks up. Like they have their fans that like them, just don't listen to their songs or go to their tours and their existance doesn't impact you in the slightest.

 

It does impact us when they preach their shitty homophobic views to their fans.

 

These guys espoused viewpoints that both oppressed a minority people group and misrepresented the viewpoint of an entire religion. I'd say that I can agree with you most of the time, but in this case, yeah - it's a good thing these guys are losing their platform to spread their hate and misinformation.

The guy is clearly homophobic and uses religion to try and justify it. Maybe he has changed his view, but it is funny how he only did after people found the shitty stuff he said on his blog.

 

This is great, people can go see their families instead touring around. Family/Friends is important. I hope a lot of old bands follow suit.
