Bleeding-raw, devastating, cathartic and brilliant debut album from Dublin's David Balfe. Originally released in 2019 with uncleared samples, it was picked up for a formal release last year and finally saw the light of day again last week. A moving tribute to his best friend, lost to suicide in 2018, it fuses electronica, spoken word, R&B and big-room dance with potent melodies and an uncompromising working-class Irish outlook. Dark, intense and gripping - it's absolutely phenomenal and you won't hear anything quite like it this year.

 

Listened to this for the first time yesterday and it completely blew me away, probably my favorite thing I’ve heard so far this year

Just discovered this a week or two ago and yeah it's fucking incredible. People are really sleeping on this.
