Finished season 2 last night after a long break away since I didn’t care for the first few episodes. Wow am I glad I came back in! Stoked to start 3.
Just finished season 1. This show is great. Not what I was expecting. It had a lot more action than I was picturing. I thought it would be a slow burn political show that focused on the building of the rockets. But then again I didn't really watch the trailer or hear much about it before I started so I don't know why I was imagining that.
I remember them saying this a few years ago, but cool nonetheless that they seem to be sticking to it.
I called it that this was going to end in the alt-present. Season 5 and 6 would be the 2010:s and 2020's respectively. I am betting it'll be end with humans making it to another solar system and/or making first contact with extraterrestrials in like 2026.
Ive seen theories that point out small connections that could point to this series being a sequel to The Expanse. Not likely, but still kind of cool to think about.
Loved the season premiere. As always, the news recap is full of great stuff (Clint Eastwood playing Ed in a movie is perfect, Gore winning is obvious but makes sense in the universe). Love seeing Toby Kebbell and Daniel Stern in this. Spoilering just in case: I didn't realize until today that Danny was written out of the show completely. I think it's clear that he died based on how he's talked about in this episode, but I was thinking we might get a flashback or something like that.
He was promoted from Series Regular to Guest Star for this season according to press stuff. So we'll see him.... eventually
