We technically did see her in one quick part of season 5 where they show the cover of her memoir, and I think she was on like a super brief part of the season 4 "between seasons" intro. They keep reminding us she is still alive in this universe but she as a character is AWOL. One of the actors I think said the show has a "we don't have to kill you off if you want to leave to do other work" policy where the actor can go in do other things while still being available to pop up here and there in future seasons. I think it's why Poole's ending in season 4 felt so weird, they decided not to kill her last second because the actress was open to limited future appearances.
This is a show that I think would really benefit from a novel or comic series depicting what the characters did between seasons.
Home sick from work so finally settling in to get caught up on Star City. Such an insane vibe shift from FAM.
Star City is like really really good guys. This mid season secret manned mission to Venus plot is wild.
I just realized the Chief Designer character was technically in FAMK season 2 played by a different actor. He was the Soviet official that came to talk with Danielle Poole when she was stuck in Star City during her training for her handshake in space mission.
Actively sabotaging something as delicate as a space mission is a rather dumb thing to do from the KGB standpoint. Makes for good drama, sure, but surely they’d just let him land back on earth and kill him once he’s not vital for two others to survive. edit: or just kill them all lol
