Ya'll care too much about these Big Mac variations. You should be stuffing a McChicken between a McDouble.

So in my mind we'd do it like the actual show. Do an appetizer round, main course, and dessert. We vote a couple people off each round. Is that too much of a commitment?
I hate that I kinda like it.

I think you'd have to give people ample time to make one dish... What's our headcount for contestants? I was thinking it'd be a one dish at a time, vote on the winner of that round type of thing where people weren't eliminated but everyone could participate every time if they want to. Then again, this is all without tasting... so it becomes difficult.

the mcchicken and mcdouble is old news.

It's all about getting the spicy mcchicken and a sweet tea.

So, following the Chopped format, there should be 4 ingredients chosen for each round and then you can use whatever else you have in the pantry. We can let the judges do that if they want to confer in private so the contestants don't know what they are beforehand. Obviously, we want a bit of challenge, but as none of us are professional chefs this needs to be accessible. We also need to accommodate for availability. I can work with the judges to organize that.

I think we do 3 rounds. We are given the ingredients at the beginning of the week and we have until the end to finish it. That ensures everyone has enough time to get the stuff, cook it, and put together their thoughts.

Each person submits their "food blog" and the judges award points. Unfortunately, they won't get to taste it but they can judge on visual appeal, presentation, cooking method, use of secret ingredients, quality of "food blog," etc.

Contestants are responsible for presenting their process in a manner they think will appeal to the judge. You should use pictures, explanations, you can be serious, funny. You can make up crazy lies about your food or be brutally honest about how terrible it is. This is less about the actual food but rather a way for us to do something interesting and fun and goof off with each other.

Judges will give scores, they can take into account all sorts of things. If someone said their food was terrible but was funny about it and crafted a great narrative that can count for just as much as someone who puts together a Michelin star dish but doesn't present it in the "food blog" very excitingly.

At the end of each round people with the lowest points are voted off.

This seems... overly complicated. I think we should simplify it @Justice Beaver. Maybe an Iron Chef & Chopped hybrid is what we should aim for. People will lose interest if they're eliminated and the process could take a long time. If it's a weekly thing where everyone can compete if they want to... then we can just tally up who has the most victories or something. I'm worried about participation actually happening.

Yeah me too. So what do you propose? Like one secret ingredient. We make a dish or dishes using it. Judges vote on the same stuff I mentioned?

That actually sounds way more feasible. And it would let participation be more fluid.
