It is a great time of year to visit your local farmers' market. For me, the plum tomatoes look absolutely outstanding right now and the green veggies look bigger than ever. I'll be getting an absurd amount of both of those things this weekend. The food isn't only fresher, but it's cheaper than at a grocery store. I think it's high-time you check out your local farmers' market if you have one nearby.

 

Tired of big farmer's market and their corporate shills

 

There's nothing more frustrating than people who buy groceries at wal-mart or target. It's one thing if that's the only option around you or the only affordable option, but if you have the ability to shop at a farmers' market, skip the big chains. Do yourself and your community a favor.

I love thousand island. Sometimes I sit at work thinking about the salad I'll make for dinner and the thousand island is always what sells it. It does creep me out that sometimes it looks too orange. I just bought a bottle at the store the other day and I paid the extra money for one that leaned more pink than orange.

 

I've never had or seen a McGriddle but it's tangentially related to a pancake so it's alright with me
