Haha. I'm half Indonesian but when it comes to balut I am white.

 

Ooooh, I need something like this. I still think you should do the one that hangs from your ceiling. Then people know you're serious, haha.

 

I'm all Indonesian but when it comes to literally everybody's assumption I'm Filipino.

Anyway, not liking Filipino food, actually makes you more Indonesian like me.

 

That's what I want, but I think I need a higher ceiling for one of those... I still want a clear line of view from my dining room to my kitchen.

Oh god can we talk about murtabak and gado gado?

 

Where my family lives there is a gado gado vendor who came around during the mornings and those are some of my happiest memories.

 

I'm actually going to Indonesia in 2 weeks. First time being there since 2011, first time being in Jakarta since like... 1995. I look forward to all the food and hope my stomach stays strong.

 

My fave pots and pans are the orgreenic non stick pans. They seriously do not stick. Changed my life tbh.

I'm jealous. I haven't been since 2004. When I was a kid I'd always get so sick because we insisted on having ice in our drinks and couldn't handle the Indonesian water, haha.

 

I plan on only drinking Tehbotol and Bintang while I'm there.

 

These look interesting! My worry with non-stick pans like this is that they don't stand up to intense cooking for very long and the coating starts to come off.

Bring me back some Tehbotol!

 

I'm an m&m cookie kind of person if I had to choose a cookie. I like peppermint Oreos or chocolate covered Oreos but don't really eat regular Oreos often

 

M&M cookies are my Subway cookie of choice, absolutely. I've never been a mint + chocolate fan. Do they sell chocolate covered Oreos or do you have a chocolate fountain to spice Mr. Christie up?

 

I am obsessed with the ice creams that have the crunched up waffle cones in them.

Mr favorite cookie is chocolate chip. Then peanut butter. Then snickerdoodle. Then Oatmeal raisin.

I love cookies.

 

Chocolate chip oatmeal are the best. Followed by pumpkin chip cookies.
