I'm gonna eat a plate of this mongolian beef tonight. (well, some variant of it. not this exact one)

 

Leftovers for lunch today. a single stuffed shrimp; 2 taco shells with ground beef, cheese and Taco Bell Hot Sauce; and Caramel Fudge Pretzel greek yogurt for dessert.

 

Just ate crawfish it was good

 

Never actually had Crawfish, really don't think i'd like it though honestly. Not much of a seafood fan other than shrimp and tuna.

 

You may like it then, it's like spicier shrimp in a way. I loved shrimp (and still do) before I first had crawfish and now it's a favorite

 

I'd be willing to try it if it was already taken out of the shell and whatnot, something about cracking everything off to get to the meat and slurping the heads and such just really makes me queasy.

 

It's probably sacrilege but I don't slurp the heads haha, I just get to the meat and eat it. But yeah I know what you mean, I'd recommend going some place that you know (by review) gets great fresh crawfish, and getting a pasta or something like that that has crawfish in it. First time I tried it was on sushi but that's probably the best way.

 

I only eat the meat too, but cracking them open is half the fun. In fact, I don't really even like crawfish all that much in dishes, but I love boiled crawfish that's extra spicy.

@(╯°□°)╯︵ ┻━┻ Where'd you get crawfish? Was it reasonably priced? I've had trouble finding good crawfish in Dallas that's not outrageous.

I went to Shuck N Jive (the Addison one which is a different brand than the Dallas/Richardson ones despite having the same name) and it was like $7.99/lb, is very good. My friend introduced me to it a few months back and now it's the only place in the metroplex other than Nate's Seafood that I'll get crawfish. The two restaurants use the same supplier and get the best crawfish in DFW according to my friend.

 

Right on. $7.99 a pound is a little high, but if the crawfish is quality, that's not terrible. I remember a few years back, on Mondays and Tuesdays, you could get crawfish at Pappadeux for $3.99 a pound. It was awesome. Now I haven't been able to find them for less that $6.99 and they were tiny.

I hear that The Boiling Crab is supposed to be legit, but apparently the lines can be hours long to get in.

 

I was gonna self plug Pappadeaux since I work for them but I've never had crawfish there haha.

 

I haven't eaten lunch yet today. The moment I get off work I'm gonna make/eat either 5 or 6 tacos. Hard shell, chicken with fajita seasoning, jalapeños, onions, green peppers, salsa, Mexican blend of cheese. Yum. That should satiate the ole' hunger.
