Hey man, I just assumed you were bringing it up out of a place of anger. I'd eat one of those no problem.

I wish I went to a high school with that many kids. The American high school in teen movies with kids hanging out on benches in front of the school, cliques, huge football games with packed bleachers, busy cafeterias all seems so appealing to me. I loved my high school experience, but damn it I want a breakfast club

 

I always got jealous watching the OC and they're hanging outside during school lunch in the sunshine eating In N Out

 

I packed a lunch bc they had like no options for vegetarians (but I mean of course bc I was 1 of like 3 vegetarians in a rural small town where everyone hunts lol they didn't care about giving us options)

 

Omg I forgot about my horror story from elementary school! I used to sometimes buy lunch back then but I refused after I got a sub and there was a fucking beetle crawling in it!!!!! I about died. So gross!!

 

An interim headmaster at my school made us draw numbers as to what table we sat at for lunch so we didn't sit with our friends and "met people". I went to school with 150 people total in junior and high school and we all grew up together. Then once we finished we weren't allowed to go outside like normal to wait for the bell, we had to sit there the whole time. She tried to make us learn this long ass school fight song. That was a weird year.

 

I miss when it was the food thread.

One of those nights where my roommate and I both happen to be cooking dinners tonight and we get to goof around in the kitchen together and cook. He'll likely be making some sort of mess with lots of ketchup and poorly cooked meat, but it doesn't matter because, you know what - food should bring people together.

 

Beautiful. In my head, I picture a classic family sitcom.

We weren't allowed to go outside during lunch, or leave campus (though we could bribe the parking lot attendant to let us in exchange for Taco Bell)

 

Going to eat everything put in front of me @ Cracker Barrel rn and no one can stop me.

 

What are you getting? All I ever ordered there growing up was breakfast food. Always pancakes
