Tamales symbolize more than just a meal to Latino families

 

It's not a weird ass tradition it's just a tradition, especially among latino families

 

i had tamales yesterday because they're delicious

I almost took a pic of a bottle of ketchup by my tamales but my phone was charging in my room and I decided it was too much effort.

 

reading that article made me sad on how I didn't get any green chile tamales this year.

if my post came off as combative that was not my intention. my family happened to have tamales yesterday and they were great. we don't have them every year.

 

for the sake of argument: I wasn't aware of the tradition, nor was I trying to be insensitive. I just thought a bunch of white people were eating tamales. I apologize if I offended anyone

Trying to find recipes to make from my "if you can read you can cook" cookbook and they are LIARS. The book is written by local women in the community and I feel like the recipes are written in mind by someone who knows how to do it and forgets to explain things specifically like hello I need the School House Rock version
