lol I love that you remember that. But yes I do love cottage cheese and hate yogurt! Yogurt just has a bitter taste (I've tried so many flavors and brands hoping) and can't get past it.

 

I'm super picky about yogurt, so I feel you. This one was actually good (didn't taste all fake sweet or tangy, just tasted like creamy fruit puree with pieces of dried fruit and almonds). I'm glad I found them!

Also, in that case, my other recommendations:
Pure Protein peanut butter chocolate, peanut butter caramel chocolate, and strawberry bars.
Power Crunch Chocolate Mint, Peanut Butter Fudge, and Peanut Butter Creme bars.
Starbucks skinny vanilla latte with cinnamon steamed in the milk (omfg soooooooooo good).
Jack's Links teriyaki jerky stick (going to try other flavors, since teriyaki can be a bit too sweet).
Jimmy Dean frittatas.
Parmesan crisps or (surprisingly) rotisserie chicken w/ red pepper hummus.
Emerald dry roasted almonds.
Skippy Natural honey peanut butter (only 1g carb more than the regular!)
Halo Top. All of it. All the things.
Breyer's Carb Smart chocolate (tastes like a Frosty).
Yasso cookie dough, mint chip, and salted caramel bars.

Those are my current staples... I don't think I have a lot of other foods I'd actually recommend offhand. Pretty sure this covers the majority of my favorite discoveries through the past year.

The farm stand near me is having its last weekend here. got a bunch of fresh produce (Corn was the hot ticket at least recently) for the next few days.

The benefit of living in the boonies lol.
I always loved living out here cus of that same exact farm stand that is literally only a 3 minute drive away. Fresh produce is beautiful, damn near makes me wanna turn vegan lol.

 

Yeah, living in an agricultural region/boonies has its perks. I get so much produce for free.

 

lol yeah i live in long island and where i live they grow everything from sunflowers to corn to the infamous long island potatoes. theres literally 3 different family farms where i live. theres even a farm stand down the island a bit you can get home made pickles & peppers or pies from that are some of the greatest youll ever taste.
I dont always fit in from the political sensibilities but i love the nature and food and tbh just the close knit culture out here sometimes. "Even if I don't know ya you can have a plate" type stuff is always nice.

 

I love birthday cake halo top and I mix it with fat free cool whip and the texture isn't chalky at all. Also do this with chocolate halo top. I just wish it wasn't $6!

 

My Grandma goes to this place with her friend weekly where they have a big feast for everyone. All types of food; I actually look forward to going over every week to help her with whatever for leftovers for lunch .
Her friend I met at my Grandpa's funeral I guess owns this farm and got a lil money and has a big thing every wednesday and has a couple cooks make all these grandiose, numerous course meals for all their friends.
Super cool, makes me wonder how I didn't/don't know any of these people growing up. xD I joke with my grandma that's her weekly pay off for her life of service lmao.

Did I ever mention those nasty kids who I saw use the communal spoon thing on the food bar at a buffet? Putting it in their mouths and sticking it back in the food. I told a waitress and she took the food off the bar and I ratted out which kids they were so she could tell on them.

 

i remember i went to a chinese buffet when i was little and i was being a glutton at the ice cream machine and i ate all the ice cream out of my cone at the machine and filled it back up and one of the owners was side eyeing me so hard. lol
