Does anyone eat rutabaga at Thanksgiving? It's one of my favorite foods and I only eat it at Thanksgiving but you can get it all year round but I feel like nobody has ever heard of it.

It's weird as fuck. The outside is encased in wax and the rind is really, really hard. The inside is almost like a harder squash. But you boil the shit out of it until it is soft and mash it with a bunch of butter and pepper. The taste is pretty hard to describe. It's a little spicy, a little sweet, really savory and somewhat similar to squash.
