    did set off the smoke detector which scared the christ out of my cat. but that tofu texture was A+. still working on getting the flavor sealed in a little better

    admittedly i'm kind of resigned ot liking it now but it's legit good. i am certian that someone with more talent than i could make an absolutely bangin dish with it. definitely gets a bad rap as being flimsy and tasteless, it's just easier to fuck up than meat but done right it deserves the same respect imo

    for me, that's part of the fun. it's crazy i just drove through your town a few months ago. i'd drive to the coast, find a good seafood shack on the water and then go shopping.

    I really want a giant slab of "white tuna" which is always my favorite when I opt for the cheap-o sushi platters from restaurants but I found out that

    a) It's way harder to find
    and, and probably more importantly,
    b) it like gives you dysentery

    What were you in New Haven for?

    Same, I press my tofu 2x and freeze it, it makes the texture so much better. I love tofu so much even though I'm not a vegetarian whatsoever.
