Yesterday was tacos and tequila and the fair.

Today is pub sub while recording bass in da studio.

Then when we're done wings and beer and watching the FSU game.

Should be a lovely weekend.

 

I love saying pub sub so much.

 

How often do you guys try a non-chain place without looking it up online for reviews/menus/etc? I'm thinking I need to cut back.

 

I usually look up reviews first unless it's a matter of convenience, like the other day I tried a new Chicago hot dog/pizza place because it was close to work. If I'm thinking ahead I will always look at reviews first

 

I don't really do chains but I tend to eat at the same places, maybe once a month or more I go to a place that looks good on a hunch

I do try to look at menus and prices beforehand

 

Almost every time, I'll look it up. Yelp is shit though. I avoid chains like the plague and use some research to figure out where I should go.

 

I always look at menus cause I don't eat meat and I wanna know they have something I can work with. and if the menu doesn't have prices I'm like bye just assuming they're $$$

 

Does anyone else ever walk into a restaurant, look at the menu for a few minutes, then leave because they don't have anything you want or the prices are too high? did that once at Five Guys

Yeah or it's too crowded

 

I hate the over-crowded bar or lousy seat options. I'd rather just go elsewhere than be cramped or uncomfortable.

 

I do that but I hate when the people working there try to stop me on the way out and convince me to stay.

When I do it it's usually at fast casual places where the worker is standing at the counter staring at me while I decide, then I have to tell them never mind.

 

I can't remember the last time I ate inside a fast casual restaurant unless I was travelling.

 

It's almost all I eat if I'm dining out

 

What's your favorite place to go?

 

I'm on a really tight budget so I mainly go to lie Chipotle, Pei Wei, a local(?) taco chain called Fuzzy's, burger places, etc

There was a Fuzzy's briefly in my college town and I went once and thought it was absolutely terrible.

Other people seem to have much fonder feelings for it.

Maybe ours was an anomaly. It went out of business in under 6 months.
