I usually cook Mexican dishes, haha. Mostly because you can buy core ingredients and then cook like 5 different types of Mexican so it's cheap.

 

I love to cook Mexican too. I could use some more (I only have one) Mexican cookbooks now that I think about it. I make carnitas a few times a month. I should definitely expand my knowledge of Mexican cooking.

 

Mmmm, carnitas. I'm the type of person who has to have SOMETHING spicy with every meal, haha. Easy to do that with Mexican.

 

Same. I think it's why I'm such a fan of Southwestern food too. Mr. Flay does have some insanely good recipes. Chili peppers in everything? Yes please.

 

Yum. Even breakfast. Omelet with mushroom, sausage, onion, red and green peppers, jalapenos and Siracha.

Even though I never eat breakfast, haha. That's the sort of stuff I make when I DO want breakfast.

 

I make breakfast once a week, and half of the time, it's my favorite meal of the week.

That sounds bangin'. I love my omelets with mushrooms, chives, and cheese, hot sauce on the side. Lately I've taken to making breakfast scrambles with chorizo, onions, mushrooms, green peppers, fresno chilis, and lots of cheese and butter.

One breakfast dish that blew my mind was an eggs benedict that had pulled pork instead of Canadian bacon and had roasted poblano peppers finely chopped and mixed into the hollandaise. That sounds like it'd be right up your ally.

 

Yeahhhh that sounds awesome! I forgot about cheese and chives! I always go pepperjack, but cheddar would prolly be good too.

 

Both are excellent. Mexican cheese is great in eggs too.

 

I made a grilled cheese sandwich one time that had, like, the most perfect goldened bread/melted cheese combo wombo

I once drank a glass of wine using a twizzler as a straw.

 

Like, in a good way?

 

That reminded me of a time I tried to drink with a straw in an orange...like in the picture on the Tropicana Orange Juice Cartons.

Does not work as advertised.
