I'm trying to think what two toppings I wouldn't get tired of and drawing a blank. Maybe I'd just get my daughter's favorite, pepperoni and pineapple

 

Give me a classic margherita with basil, mozzarella, and tomatoes. One topping: prosciutto.


It's cold and windy. I'm thinking beef stew or chicken corn noodle soup or clam chowder for dinner. Any suggestions? Something warm, hearty, and slow-cooked. Besides chili tacos.

The other day we ate at a local restaurant that has a make your own salad bar. I watched a little kid take the spoon out of one of the dressings, put it in her mouth, then put it back in the dressing. I told the waitress and she threw it away. Kids these days.

 

I wish more restaurants would throw kids away when they did this.

 

It's not like adults don't do that too

I mean there are adults who go to the store, open up a lipstick, try it on and then put it back on the shelf so wouldn't surprise me!!! (I have almost bought used lipstick too many times!!)

I'm supposed to go to some place called Island Wing Company for dinner. I hope it's as delicious as it sounds.

I think it's a chain, it's over by Market Square in Tallahassee. Apparently they bake all of their wings which I'm a little skeptical about, but I've heard good things.

 

let me know if it's good. if so, I might go there next time I am in town

 

Will do! Looks like they have some pretty good sounding stuff on the menu, but I guess I HAVE to go wings the first time since that seems to be their specialty.

 

The baked wings thing would make me skeptical too, since that's what the pizza places do and pizza place wings usually suck. That being said, there's a bar nearby that bakes everything (no fryer's in the kitchen) and they have some really good wings. Also, I Googled Island Wing Company and it looks legit. Have fun.

 

Thanks! Yeah, I read a coupla reviews and people were saying they were skeptical but pleasantly surprised. Hoping I am as well.

 

Baked wings *can* be good, but they have to be baked at 400+ degrees. A crispy wing is a beautiful thang.
