It may be a Mexican/Hispanic thing? All the times I've had it were made by Mexicans, it's so good!

 

Haha I know I was just playin. I've never made it before but it is sooooo good.

 

Gotcha, I'm always unsure of how regional things are. I live in the South and Texas so I'm pretty privileged when it comes to great food.

My mom made it all the time for me. One way she did was put the rice and milk and sugar in a Tupperware bowl, the kind with the vent lid. Not sure how long that takes. Then of course add butter when it's done

I always thought of it as being like oatmeal but better (we had it as breakfast)

for context, this is what was given to me with my fries and brisket sandwich at a high end restaraunt. and they gave me another with my leftovers to take home.

 

I have a weird thing with people touching food. Like when they're picking off a plate meant for everyone and using their fingers, even if they only eat what they've touched. It really grosses me out. A few weeks ago at a dinner thing people kept doing that with the fruit salad and I wanted to die.

Anyway, I told someone they could try a bite of my dinner and they interpreted that as let me use my fingers to move the veggies I dislike and want to eat around. I died inside like my soul left my body and flew away. It's one thing to eat what you touch, but to leave the stuff you touch for me on my plate omg there is no God like get Kirk Cameron in here cause I've just proven his existence null.

 

jesus since when is fruit salad a finger food? also the other person really needs to learn some manners haha.
