Not sure I've ever had boiled peanuts (or boiled nuts of any kind). Sounds weird

I had boiled peanuts for the first time last December. I was in Louisville, KY visiting family and my dad insisted on getting them from a gas station. They were in giant crock pots. The spicy kind didn't have enough water in it so it had burnt and turned into a weird, almost peanut butter muck on the bottom of the pot. The regular kind was fine though. You basically just scoop it into a styrofoam cup and eat hot peanuts in brown peanut water.

 

Sounds very weird
