Broke my whole "don't buy non-groceries this week" thing but it was worth it. Best fries, fry sauce, and oreo milkshake ever. For real. I usually don't care for shoestring fries but they're delish

 

Needed to make something quick and easy that my daughter would eat, so it was pulled pork quesadillas tonight. Also kale, which I forced her to eat a small amount of.

 

You got your kid to eat kale? You must be a great negotiator

 

After a few minutes of whining I said "eat three bites or we're not going to the park" and that did the trick. It's not much but at least there was a veggie component to her dinner.

 

When I was a kid the greens I would eat would be broccoli and squash, certainly the most palatable imo and still some of my favorites.

Getting some sonoran hotdogs tonight.

 

Making some pulled pork. Slow cook it for 7 hours in Dr. Pepper, then pull it, then one more hour in the slow cooker with bbq sauce. Delicious.

 

We had hard tacos and black refried beans for dinner. Delicious!

 

Never had any of those myself! The kind you buy? Saw the price and passed.

I've never tried with soda, but that sounds delicious. I just use a spice rub consisting of paprika, chili powder, garlic powder, and salt.

 

Oh no I meant making them yourself. Actually pretty easy and really don't taste like much. Thought that may help her eat them. I guess I'll have this to look forward to in about 6 months or so.

 

Definitely give it a try. I like the sound of that spice rub, I'm gonna have to steal that from you!

Ended up doing Shrimp Pesto Spaghetti for a dinner special. Pasta is tossed with garlic, homemade pesto and sautéed cherry tomatoes. Sprinkled with parmesan cheese and parsley.

Southwest flatbread with pulled pork. Crispy grilled flatbread topped with salsa, a medley of grilled onions, corn, black beans, pulled pork and blackened seasoning. Lightly covered in cheddar/monterey jack cheese, drizzled with Southwest dressing (mayo, siracha, lime juice, vinegar, spices) and garnished with fresh cilantro. Goddamn!



Island pork sandwich. Buttered brioche bun topped with Southwest sauce, mango salsa, pulled pork, swiss cheese and cabbage... there's also some mac and cheese in the shot but, I've got to be honest: I use a cheese sauce mix that I doctor up, it's not homemade - I know.

Pizza Bagels feel like the real-world equivalent of Bachelor Chow.

 

A bunch of Culver's started popping up here in Florida recently and goddamn i love that place. Those cheese curds are the bomb.

 

There's a Culver's opening a few miles from my house, too. They must be doing pretty well.

 

I went to lunch with friends and ordered something with shrimp in it..the poop trails were still in the whole shrimp. I told the waitress and she said that's how they're all served there. Every cooking show I've ever seen de-poops the shrimp! I couldn't eat it lol

 

You should have went to the manager and said:

 

Bout to go to a dine in movie theater. They have some tasty looking flatbreads. This Hawaiian one has roasted garlic sauce, bbq chicken, meatballs, fresh cilantro, and pineapple.
