That's a good idea. I usually rip off this dish from gordon ramsay steak when I make it: vermouth mushroom creme, baby heirloom tomatoes, prosciutto, arugula. I think you're onto something for tonight.

I'm more of a sausage guy. I love bacon, but given the choice I always go for sausage

Debate time. Chase defend patties (which is the correct answer) and ChiliTacos defend links (which is insanity).

oh no, links are so much better. they taste the goddamn same, and links are easier to eat. how is it even a debate?

Links all day every day. Patties on a sandwich, that's it.

Patties can be put on a biscuit

No wayyyyyyyyy. They do not taste the same. With a patty you can get a nice char on all portions of the sausage. Saying they taste the same is like saying rolling up ground beef and cooking it would be the same as a burger.

I can get a nice char on my links, just the same.

they are tho. you either have to cut them, or awkwardly try to shove them in your mouth. links are set up perfectly to take as big or small of a bite as you want.

They're cookie shaped, you hold them as you would a cookie and take a bite

but just to say one more thing. you pick up sausage with a fork, not your hands. so the cookie argument doesn't hold up.

Are you saying you couldn't pick up a sausage patty with a fork? What kind of fork are you using. Also, sausage patties are not encumbered by needing casing.

This seems like eaters choice. Regardless, nothing you have said beats my biscuit argument

i could (and do) pick up patties with forks, but it's just much more awkward than a link.

yes, patties are better for biscuits, but that isn't what we were discussing.
