I've had like a Korean fusion take on poutine from a food truck and it was extremely good. So I don't think you messed up but you should def go back to try traditional.

My dad won't eat any vegetables really but green beans, cooked cabbage, and butter beans. He came by to watch baseball with me yesterday and ate almost all of the kale chips I made. I was shocked. My mom got the recipe from me bc she said she's known him 40 years and her mind is blown that he likes kale.

If you really want it..

Wash kale and dry it, coat in olive oil, add salt, pepper, a little lemon. I added red pepper flakes bc I like hot stuff. In the oven on 350 for 15-20 minutes.
