I know you live around Atlanta. We visited Atlanta last month and went to The World of Coca-Cola, that place was absolutely amazing!

I actually live about 4 hours south but I spend a lot of time up there since most of my friends live there. The World of Coca-Cola is insane. It blew my mind that not all coke tastes the same. Some of them were even nauseating. I think it might have been Brazil that was the worst.

Is Mexican Coke one of the better ones? There are a few coffee places/food carts here that make a point to mention they carry bottles of Mexican Coke.

Mexican Coke was definitely good. Almost better than USA, imo.

There's definitely alot of disgusting flavors from around the world that's for sure. We also went to the Aquarium too and just went to Coke on a whim and to kill time and it was WAY better, my son loved the giant screen at the beginning which we were surprised by haha. We were really disappointed that they didn't have New Coke to try lol.

You're an awesome parent. Both the aquarium and coke are my favorite places to visit. The zoo is a lot of fun too. They have beer brunches where you drink and look at the exhibits which is so cool to me.

    Why thank you! ;-)

We were thinking about the zoo but it seemed like it was supposed to rain and was kinda chilly that day so we did the other instead. Felt bad for him and the wife being cooped up in a hotel room all week while i was in Sales Tax School(way less exciting than it sounds haha).

I'll get recommendations for you if we ever go back! We ate at Fox Brother's BBQ while in town, it was pretty good for being in Georgia. Still prefer Texas BBQ though.

I only drink coffee a few times a year, usually only if someone asks me on a coffee run. I drank more when I lived in pdx and did a lot of walking in the cold. I only accept warm coffee. Iced coffee makes me nauseous. i usually get smoothies at coffee shops

I go some days without but college definitely forced me to drink coffee. Used to hate it but began to drink it to survive haha

I just use a basic French press and a small electric grinder. I need to get a tea kettle though, microwaving the water is not cutting it I think

I've also been buying bulk beans at Winco, not as good as locally roasted stuff but I'm poor

I only do iced coffee but rarely does that happen. Also, normal coffee is #notgood.

I had to buy some this morning though because I don't know if I would have made it lol.

Mexican Coke is carried at basically every grocery store and gas station here. A little sweet for my taste though

What do you have for the rest of your coffee setup? Grinder? Electric kettle? Also what beans do you buy?

This should probably go in the Q&A With Jason Tate thread but whatever haha.

There's this coffee shop near me that also has craft beer, wine, sandwiches, etc. Awesome place. Anyways they make this honey garlic sauce that they put on sandwiches and it's absolutely heavenly.

  22. Haha.

Personally, I like a little bit of a darker roast now, when I first was getting into coffee I liked a medium body and then added some sugar and cream (gahhhh, I know). But now I only like it black and I am drawn to a darker roast. I like a local company called Stumptown and I get their beans pretty often or the other local roaster Sisters has some really nice ones. Check the stamped dates and try and get something as fresh as possible when selecting beans — another bonus of being able to find something you like locally. I've heard good things about Blue Bottle.

I use an electric kettle because it let's you better control the exact temperature of the water. I've found I get the best taste at 185 degrees. The grinder I have is kind of ridiculous and it embarrasses me, it was a gift from my mom for Christmas a few years back because she does too much and is an amazing woman who spoils me on holidays. Heh, it's the Baratza Virtuoso and it's way more expensive than anyone reasonable should probably spend on a grinder. It's also amazing though and I use it literally every single day. I think the grinder is probably the second most important part of brewing coffee (after good beans), so it's worth getting a good burr grinder and not using one of those blade things (good beans + burr grinder + Aeropress, I think makes better coffee than the most expensive machines you can buy). The one I've seen most recommended without being stupidly expensive is the Capresso.
