I used to love Golden Corral as a kid. Typical meal: two fried chicken drumsticks, spaghetti, macaroni and cheese, two rolls, jello, and for dessert a going bowl of soft serve covered in sprinkles and gummi bears

Of course as an adult I have determined that buffet food is terrible

 

Gummy bears and sprinkles are my go to ice cream toppings tbh!! Kindred spirits! I used to love buffets as a kid but yeah it loses its allure as an adult. We went to a buffet at the casino last year for Xmas instead of a nice Xmas dinner and I was like OMG whhhhy

 

I still like buffets because I get bored easily

 

I haven't been to a buffet in years but I'd definitely be down for one.

 

GC can be hit or miss. If you go to the right location, it might be decent, but 95% of them are horrible.

 

I'm disappointed in all of you. Any place that is going to give me unlimited amounts of mashed potatoes is good in my book. Hometown/Country Buffet is far superior than Golden Corral though.

Also, I will fight anyone who says CiCi's is bad.

 

I could still get down with a buffet.

My favorite being a sushi buffet.

 

I have heard whispers of all you can eat sushi buffets in Connecticut but have yet to experience one.

 

There are also all you can eat sushi non buffet places. Those are good too.

So I made this last night: One Pot Cheesy Chicken Taco Rice - Host The Toast

But I fucked up really bad because I didn't read the instructions really carefully so I didn't use instant rice, I used rice I cooked separately and also made way too much of and I used too much ground chicken. So basically the ratios were all off, I didn't have any cumin, my avocado wasn't ripe enough to eat, etc. Basically it was a clusterfuck and my finished product looked nothing like the pictures.

That being said, it still tasted pretty good. 7/10

Yeah, I think that's an old thing, but I just now discovered it. I don't know if they ever sold them in the US or not though.

 

Yeah, weirdly enough, I just read an article about them. I think they were only in the Philippines.
