Or you could eat you thanksgiving inspired sandwich and leave the mashed potatoes on the side. I love a good hot turkey sandwich, but I think there's much better things to add to it than mashed potatoes: bacon, cheese, extra gravy, make the sandwich out of garlic bread, etc.

edit: actually a thin potato pancake made from mashed potatoes would be interesting. Get the outside really crispy and brown, then have a thin layer of mashed potatoes in the middle.

Red onions are great raw on a salad or burger

Both my lunch and dinner yesterday were "light" options at BJ's Brewhouse and I had an Apple for breakfast and I am STARVING

I thought Bj's food was only okay. I liked their beers though.

Pretty good, I've only been a few times. Yesterday I had the Mediterranean chicken pita tacos and those were very good, but I was still hungry.

For dinner I had grilled chicken over quinoa and grilled veggies, still good

I've eaten at BJ's quite a bit the past couple of weeks because they've had a BOGO lunch deal going on. It's alright, but nothing special. Probably more worth it for the beer. The food is average but I feel like it's not really worth full price.

I should've gotten takeout. After tip my lunch & dinner was $19, which is ok but not like a stellar deal

You used the BOGO coupon though, right? Would've been like $30-35 otherwise, which seems crazy to me.

Yeah, I think $10 per plate is about average for food of that quality. So they are a little bit overpriced and if you have to tip a server it kind of evens out in terms of value vs going to a fast casual place

I don't think $10 a plate is outrageous, which is why I'm all over the BOGO coupon, but $15-20 plus tax/tip for some of their meals seems a little much.

The red onion talked made me think of this immediately. Apparently my wife and I watch too much Food Network haha.
