It's a bummer for me because I'm reasonably sure that all the flavorings have some sort of sugar in them so adding them to a Diet Coke makes my blood sugar all wonky so I have to stick with the base flavors. They should really have a warning about that.

 

Haha, oh Adele, I'm sure Diet Coke can clean even nastier stuff. But just think of how clean our insides must be!

Man I love the freestyle machines and every fast food place should have them. That said I don't drink soda regularly, it's too sugary (or in the case of diet sodas, full of bitter tasting artificial sweeteners). I just like the option to make vanilla root beer y'know

 

Man, Chase, I really want to like you but you are making it so difficult.

 

I honestly hope the freestyle machines die off as fast as possible. But I'll let it go haha.

Have you ever had Abita or Reading Draft root beer? They're amazing.

The freestyle machines are a good idea in theory, but everything tastes off (especially water) and 90% of the flavored drinks are just not good (Orange Dr. Pepper?)

I used to work at Sonic and a lot of people would get chocolate Dr. Pepper. Never tried out but I'm not a huge fan of DP. It might be an improvement

We have this thing in Indiana called Tiger's Blood, which the internet tells me is a mix of watermelon, strawberry, and coconut, and it is one of the only things I will deign to put in a Diet Coke so chocolate Dr. Pepper, while strange, seems like it could work.

 

I'm pretty sure the shaved ice chain around here has Tigers Blood as a flavor. Never knew what it really was though

 

The only problem I have with the freestyle thing is you need to let it run for 10 seconds to get the taste of the drink made before you out of the nozzle.

 

Ah, it makes much more sense as a shaved ice option. I actually can't remember why I put it in Diet Coke in the first place.

I used to love Shaved Ice. Batman was my favorite flavor.

Explain the flavor Batman, or explain shaved ice? I'll do both! Shaved Ice is usually at a stand at like a fair or carinval or something. Imagine a snowcone but bigger and with a ton more flavors. Batman was just one of the flavors. It's just a really dark, berry flavor that's amazing.



That picture wasn't Batman, just an example of what shaved ice looks like.

Also hell yeah! I'm going to miss Capullo on Batman, but they gave us a shit ton of amazing stories.

 

Give it a shot. It's local to me, so I'm not sure how far the distribution goes... but those are my two favorite root beers.

Nothing improves Dr. Pepper... outside of more Dr. Pepper.

Reminds me of some of the flavors I could get at summer camp... Shaved ice flavors like "Kermit the Frog with Ms. Piggy in the backseat"

 

Yeah, I've actually heard of that before and thought it sounded strange, but I'd try it. Lots of strange combinations you can make a Sonic. Having worked there, any suggestions?
