How is it still not legal?

 

Yeah, I thought the supreme court cleared that up

 

what is everyone's opinion on outback, long horn, and texas roadhouse?

 

I loathe Longhorn. I got a burger from there once that was supposed to be medium, it was almost entirely red on the inside, had to throw it in the microwave to even eat it. The other times when the food was actually cooked, it wasn't much to write home about.

Texas Roadhouse is pretty good. I like their bread and butter a lot.

Went to Outback once as a kid, and cannot remember a single thing about it except that Bloomin' Onions are pretty legit.

 

It is legal my bad. We were one of the last states though I think?

 

For some reason the last two times I've eaten as Texas Roadhouse (different locations) I've gotten really sick so now I'm pretty scared to go back there.

 

I love Texas Roadhouse. Haven't been to Outback in a long time and never been to Longhorn

My local Chili's is so good for some reason. I'm not sure why. I got high and had the honey chipotle chicken crispers with corn on the cob and skillet mashed potatoes. To drink I had a Tito's punch and had queso dip as an appetizer. @alina had a ribs and steak combo, which was also very good

Plus they have the Ziosk system so you can just bounce when you are done

 

Is the Whopperito a current item at BK?

 

Ziosk is such a godsend and more places need it

 

Old Timer was pretty good. Fries were ok but had that kind of fluffy texture rather than all crunch. I was disappointed at first how few fries I got, but I am so full now so I guess that was fine. This has been my review of a meal I've eaten 100 times before

 

Not a fan of ziosk at all. A great server is so much better than a system like that.

 

I left my last serving job because of Ziosk's. They may be nice for the customer but they are a nightmare for the waitstaff.

 

Sad news:

"The Whopperrito is a regional product being sold by a franchisee on a local level," Burger King told NBC News in an email, adding that there are currently no plans for the Whopperrito to be "rolled" out nationwide.

I will have to drive to PA to get one.

 

How so? Like what caused it to be a nightmare? Very interested in the perspective of the staff

 

I only used it to pay my bill. I still have the waiter/waitress interaction for everything else, but its nice to be able to pay and leave when you want.

 

So the Ziosk began to replace me as a person. I instead became a number. They would drill us every time we came in for not ordering enough appetizers through the Ziosk, not swiping enough credit cards through the Ziosk, not upselling enough games through the Ziosk. My restaurant had an actual board where we were assigned a number and then we could look at the numbers that made up our service. How many desserts we sold compared to everyone else, how many of our guests left feedback, things like that. So it began to be solely about numbers but the numbers told a wildly incomplete story. It didn't take into account any factors like what shifts we worked or what day it was. Of course I'm not gonna have high alcohol sales at 11:00 am on a Tuesday, I shouldn't have those numbers compared to a server who only works on the weekend. We had to stand at the table and enter everything into the Ziosk to meet our numbers. We had to force the customer to order their food themselves through the machine so that we could hit our numbers and at the end of every week they printed these rankings and would write people up for not processing more than 80 percent of their checks through the Ziosk or not having 100 appetizers ordered through the Ziosk. At that point I had worked at the restaurant for 3 years, I was a good and loyal employee but none of that mattered. None of the relationships I had with guests mattered, all that mattered was the numbers.

 

This is the one part I didn't mind. Though it did suck to not know what I got tipped on a table and not being able to say goodbye. I always felt bad when a guest left and I didn't wish them a nice day or anything like that. It also emboldened the non-tippers because they could just pay and leave and not have that interaction with a person.

 

I just ate lunch and usually I can find something to eat of substance no matter where I go but I could only eat salad and I like salad but I thought it'd have more stuff in it. So I sat there bitterly eating leaves while my friend ate a burger woo

 

That's really tough, definitely see your side of it and agree that's really messed up

Sometimes I don't eat anything until I get home from work at like 5 PM.
