She really freaked me out. I guess the warning signs are hard to see. I don't want to be in charge of a tiny person when innocent things like honey can really hurt them lol

 

Duuuuude I babysat a 10 month old and and a 3 yr old once and sat the baby in the high hair gave him his appropriate food. Turned my back to make the 3 yo lunch. Checked on the baby and his eyes were closed with food in his mouth not moving..I freaked and jammed my finger down his throat to scoop the food out if he was choking. The baby had just fallen asleep with food in his mouth (which I guess a lot of kids do) and I traumatized him and his mom when I called her crying bc I was scared to put him in his crib for a nap even tho he was acting fine.

 

I would cry forever omg. When I interviewed for my job they asked which age group I wanted to work with and I was anxious and panicked and said infants even tho SCREW THAT they are too fragile for me. Luckily I was placed with an older age group praise the lord. I don't even like holding infants until they can hold up their own head.

 

That's funny in retrospect but terrifying while it's happening I imagine.

I've definitely learned some things being a parent when it comes to food. We didn't feed him baby cereal until he was like 4 mo cuz we were terrified he'd aspirate it in his lungs which just sounds awful

 

I've fallen asleep while eating food before only I was an adult and because I was drunk.

 

College Roommate fell asleep in his bed with a full pizza on his stomach. He only woke up while I was trying to take a slice.

 

I also hate peanut butter it's too intense

I always give my nephews candy and sips off my soda. Idgaf and never have to deal with the consequences of a hyper kid bc I just pawn them back off on my sister lol

 

I'm not going to block anybody but I'm keeping a list

 

I do not do that maybe that's why I'm not my nephews favorite lol

 

I feel like people with 1 child start off super paranoid about what the child can and cannot eat/drink and stuff like that and once they have the second child and realize the first child would've been fine they're like "Fuck it" hahaha. Like obviously not to an extreme level but they're not nearly as worried as they were with the first.

 

I feel like we've only been like that with food. Everything else has been pretty lax

 

If I lived in Texas I'd bring Dustins kids a 6 pack of Mtn Dew every day tbh

 

Babysitting kids 2 and under has shortened my life span. It never gets easier bc they're someone else's kids and not yours. Just thinking about it is stressing me out. Parents are superheroes.

 

The dressing came out faster than I anticipated and so now I'm basically having a bowl of dressing with a little salad for dinner

 

I've been meaning to buy some romaine, balsamic dressing, and croutons for salads. Alas, I remain saladless.

 

I have $200 in my account until the 5th, so it's gonna be almost nothing but salads for me for a bit.

 

Wife was gonna make Steak salad for dinner but we had B Dubs for lunch and were still full so I went with Toaster Strudels and homemade Banana bread because I'm a giant manchild

 

Had the most bomb Bún bò Huế (Vietnamese spicy beef soup) of my life yesterday.

 

OMG with the vietnamese coffee too. A+. I think vietnamese is my favorite food, i could eat that everyday

 

I only know pho, banh mi, and spring rolls. That looks a lot like pho though, it's probably something I would order and still say I got pho because I'm a dummy

 

There's a $5 online cooking course on Groupon today. Thinking of doing it.

Also there's a $40 kettle grill at Aldi. Thinking of getting that too.

Ok and there's a $25 Sam's membership on Living Social and I did that.

 

I wanna get fucked up and go to Costco

 

i once tweeted at zipcar for not having available cars during lunch because i wanted to get a hot dog at costco, and they gave me credit for a car AND extra for me to get a hot dog lol. i love social media
